FLIPPING: Head-Turning Cottage in Eagle Rock

Debuting today is a character-oozing 1926 English Cottage in Eagle Rock. Perched high on a winding street, it maintains a ton of original pizzazz, even though it’s a much-bemoaned flip. Unrecognizable at $489k, it sold in July 2012 for $312k.
Features include restored latched windows, wrought iron light fixtures, a dramatic living room with floor-to-ceiling fireplace, view deck, full basement and a patio with grassy terraces. While I’m not a fan of the kitchen and the veiny marbled bath (why!? to both), those niches, lathe and plaster walls, wood trimmed windows and flickering sconces sure are enticing. For more info or to see in person, let me know.

Hi Vanessa… Nice post! I’m curious though… what do you mean by the flip being “much-bemoaned”?

Hi! What I mean by that is that some people totally hate flipped homes. While some flips are crappy (cheaply done), some are actually quite good–like this one. Thanks for reading!
